Come to the TAC Gallery and Studio.

Media are limited to painting, drawing, photography, and reasonable three-dimensional work. The maximum frame size for flat work is 36 inches on the longest side. Artists are invited to submit digital images (.JPG) of up to three original works of art. All submissions must be made through the online application. The show will be promoted on the Toledo Artists' Club website and Facebook page, to the public, and area art organizations.

All artwork must be original and completed within the last four years. Artwork that received an award in any previous exhibition at the Toledo Artists’ Club can be submitted but it is not eligible for an award. All accepted entries must remain on display until November 11, 2023.

The Club retains the right to reject any entry it considers inappropriate or inappropriately framed. Drop off accepted entries at Toledo Artists’ Club, at the date and time given below. All flat work entries to be displayed in the gallery must be suitably framed except for gallery-wrapped canvases. All flat work entries (except for oil paintings and acrylic paintings) must be presented with clear acrylic glazing. Soft pastels may be glazed with clear glass. All flat work entries must be ready to hang. Artwork must remain on display for the duration of the exhibit. Saw-tooth hangers are not acceptable. Back labels will be provided to the artists for the accepted works. Each submitted piece must have a label attached to the back of it.

Important Dates

• Thursday, September 6, 2023: Call for entries. The call for entries has closed.
• Wednesday, September 27, 2023: Help session at TAC to enter this show.
  1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Friday, September 29, 2023: Deadline to submit.
• Tuesday, October 3, 2023: Notification of accepted artwork.
• Sunday, October 8, 2023, 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.: Deliver artwork to Toledo Artists’ Club.
• Wednesday, October 11, 2023: Exhibit opens.
• Saturday, November 11, 2023: Exhibit closes.
• Tuesday, November 14, 2023, 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.: Pick up artwork from Toledo Artists’ Club. If a person other than the artist is picking up the work, they must have the artist's written permission.
  
  

Eligibility and Entry Fee
Any currently enrolled college or university student: $20.00 for one, two, or three pieces.

The fee is paid when submitting entries.
 

Entry Procedure

Having the following information and images ready before completing the application will make the process faster and more efficient.

• Name, address, email, phone number
• Artwork title, media, materials, dimensions (Important: dimensions stated MUST be
  the framed size.)
• Retail Price, if for sale
• Images of artwork
• Complete the application below.
• The contact information must be accurate; the email address and phone number provided will be used to contact you regarding your submission.
  
  Image files should be in high-quality JPEG format, not exceeding 2MB in size, and 1,920 pixels on the longest side.

• Each uploaded file name must contain your first initial, last name, the title of the work, and medium. Separate all initials and words with an underscore; do not use a space.

PLEASE NOTE that entries without properly sized and labeled images may be disqualified until they meet the image submission requirements.

Release of Liability
The artist should always insure their work. The Gallery Committee will professionally handle the artwork. The Toledo Artists' Club is not responsible for any loss or damage to the artwork at any time during the duration of this exhibit.

Awards

A panel of jurors chosen by the Toledo Artists’ Club Board will select the following awards:

• Best of Show: $75.00
• First Place: $50.00
• Second Place: $35.00

Artwork sales information

You may price your artwork for sale or indicate it as not-for-sale (NFS). Leave the figures $00.00 in the price field on the application if you don't wish to sell a piece. The contact information of any buyer will be provided to the artist shortly after the close of the exhibit. The artist is responsible for arranging the delivery of the sold work to the purchaser. The sale price minus the commission (25%) will be remitted to the artist within 30 days of the end of the show.
