BEST OF SHOW
Seascape–Thomas Clark
This year's
Holiday Exhibition
shows a great array of creativity and technique. It is an intimate show with a lot of works of both small scale and requiring a focused attention. The award winners range from seascapes and intricate pumpkins to abstract paintings and mixed media. Choosing winners was a challenge, but they represent those works I found myself coming back to more than once. The best in show,
Seascape, is an impressive use of oil pastel and gradation of color. First place, In a Dream, with its use of painting and collage, creates a depth of both image and story. Other winners represent impressive use of media, color and image.
