Best of Show Award at the 2020 Findlay Fall Art League Exhibit.
I am intensely inspired by nature; most of my paintings are some form of landscape or natural element. I do acrylic paintings that bring awareness of nature’s simple treasures, often by incorporating unexpected elements like crystals and glass into my paintings. My style walks the line between realism and impressionism. My work resonates a refined passion for beauty in design, resulting in art that is timeless in spirit, luxurious in appeal; a feast for the eyes and soul. As a decorative artist and muralist for the past 20+ years, my style has developed along with my ability to manipulate color and textures for aesthetic appeal.
My entry at the Cox Fine Art center in Columbus, Ohio, in 2019 was well received by the public and was voted as the Peoples’ Choice award. The entry, Amethyst Awakening, was a large, 6’x 6′ wood panel seascape that incorporated approximately 60 pounds of Brazilian amethyst crystal clusters. Dazzling, exciting and brilliant were public descriptors and yet, Amethyst Awakening, has a calming effect on the view with its thought-provoking foreground.
I have participated in ArtPrize, Grand Rapids, Michigan in 2017, 2018, and 2021; view my entries here. The studio’s work has been on the cover of two trade journals, in various books and publications, local television, gallery representation at the Hayley Gallery as well as exhibitions throughout the year in Chicago, Indianapolis, Columbus, and others posted on the events page.

I have been a member of the Toledo Artists' Club for well over 25 years. During this time I've participated in many of the monthly exhibits and being awarded Best of Show and First Place. My last Best of Show was in the Portrait and People Show in 2017. I've also conducted Watercolor and Acrylic classes at the club. I've participated in Summer Outdoor Art Fairs in Ohio and Michigan Annually for over 25 years including the Toledo Botanical Garden Show where I've won many top honors. Over the years I've met and learned from many of the members; Walter Chapman, Peter Beckman, Richard Dziak just to name a few.
My painting style is usually Impressionism. However, My last One Man Show was at the 20 North Gallery, it was "Around the Corner into Abstracts. I must admit it was rather daunting. But I reminded myself that, in order to expand my knowledge, ability and growth as an artist, I must take chances and risks and do things that aren't easy and familiar. I am constantly pushing and evolving in an effort to show others another side of my artistic talent. The latest Show I participated in was the Toledo Federation of Art Societies Exhibition held at the 20 North Gallery. I won the Kingston Healthcare Purchase Award for my Watercolor "Young Beauty".

For the past 38 years I have established a professional career in mural painting and
decorative painting for interiors. Several years ago I had the desire to be more proficient in
portrait painting, so I joined the Toledo Artists' Club to participate in workshops offered. Finding enjoyment in these experiences led to other activities, a favorite being Plein Air Painting.
I’ve enjoyed watching the club operate and being involved in its activities. Participating in
gallery shows - handling take-ins, securing judges, safely storing work, and hanging the show.
All of this requires teamwork and from that evolves friendship.
Entering nearly every show since my membership, I have been honored to receive
many awards.
Membership in TWAL (Toledo Womens’ Art Club) and Athena Art Society followed. Here
is work entered in the Athena Fall Show at Lourdes last month,
Recently I designed a mural for our Toledo Artists' Club facade, in which our
members are invited to participate in painting this Spring.

Pro Medica Toledo Hospital as well as the permanent public collections at the Sylvania of Toledo Lucas County Public Library), The University of Toledo Center for the Visual Arts, and Butler University Indianapolis, Indiana.
Weprin has been a member of the Toledo Artists Club for five years. She believes it’s easy to make friends with a common interest in art. She values the special time for artists to work on their individual artwork. These artists work in a variety of media and techniques which promotes learning from each other. She greatly appreciates a critical eye when it’s most needed!
Working with other artists on committees such as the Crosby Festival of the Arts is rewarding since she can meet artists from around the country and converse with artists from our own community. Raising money for TAC with the “Heralding the Holidays” activities is exciting for her, especially when artists have an opportunity to sell their artwork along with a special designed project. She loves volunteering to babysit the studio on weekends and feels it’s a wonderful time to work on her art while visitors stroll in to talk with the artist and view the art in the TAC gallery.
The TAC Gallery is the only place where members enter themed juried exhibitions throughout the year with a small fee. Weprin has won many awards in the TAC and TWALS Exhibitions. Award winners have opportunities to showcase their winning work in the American Frame Gallery Show sponsored by them
Weprin was invited as a guest artist to demonstrate her handmade paper at a program for TWALS. TWALS invites artists to demonstrate their art. Once a month, women artists gather to talk art and socialize. Another favorite activity is painting with the Monday Morning Painters and the Tuesday Plein Air Painters. These groups meet in Metroparks and other special areas around Toledo and outlining areas, culminating with a lunch, art critique session. TAC encourages growth in their passion for arts.
