October 2022 News and Notes

The engine that runs our club is volunteers. Maintaining the building and supporting our activities depends on you. Our two major fund raisers are coming up soon, the Artists for Victory Auction November 4 to 13, and Heralding the Holidays, December 2, 3 and 4. To show our artwork to the public we need the club open on the weekends. Please volunteer to sit at the club, help with auction or with Heralding the Holidays. You can get more information and sign up on our website at the home page.

Yuki Hall Workshop October 15 and 16

There is still time to sign up at here. Don't miss the chance to paint with this accomplished artist and instructor. Learn techniques for fresh, loose watercolor painting.

Member's Meeting and Potluck, Thursday October 20, 6 pm at the club

Please Come We will have an update on club activiites, introduce new members, and enjoy a potluck dinner. David Overholt will demonstrate painting with his fingers. Please bring a dish based on the first letter of your last name:

A to F: side dish

G to M: appetizer

N to S: dessert

T to Z: Salad
The board will provide hot meat dishes and drinks.

David Overholt is an artist from Walbridge Ohio who creates paintings using only his fingers, and teaches painting. He can be found on facebook.

Some of you will remember Betsy, a life time member of the club, past President, and one time editor of the Sketchpad. She recently visited the Botanical Garden and viewed the People and Portrait show. Here's a current photo of Betsy at age 98.
