Supply list
Paints: Bring the colors that you enjoy using, along with the following:
White, Red, Alizarin Crimson, Yellow, Cobalt Blue, Ultra Marine Blue, Yellow Ochre, and Raw Sienna
Brushes: Bring the type and size of brushes that you like. I like flat and filbert bristle brushes in sizes 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, and a liner.
Canvas or canvas board:
11” x 14” or
16” x 20” or another size you are comfortable with. Three or four canvases will be needed.
Miscellaneous supplies:
paper towels, paper plates, small spray bottle, pencil, and container for water.
Meet Aaron
Aaron S. Bivins was born in 1956 in Alliance, Ohio. He graduated from the University of Toledo with a B.A. in art and a Teaching Certification. He studied watercolor landscape painting with Walter Chapman and acrylic and oil landscape painting with Richard Dziak.
Working primarily in watercolor, acrylic, and oil, as well as other media, he paints portraits of people, animals, landscapes, houses, barns, florals, and many other subjects. Aaron was a former junior high Art Teacher in the Toledo Public School System. He also serves as a demonstrator and juror and conducts watercolor and acrylic workshops and classes.
His artwork can be found in corporate collections, including The Toledo Hospital, and private collections nationwide.
