At the reception the awards for the America exhibition will be announced. This exhibition will be displayed on our website, and the artwork will be hung in the gallery as well. This is the first live exhibition since BP (before pandemic). Light refreshments will be served; please come and bring a guest.
The fruition of two years of planning, with the support of the Metroparks and our
Arts Commission Grant. Carol was a professional muralist until her retirement, and a long time member of the club. She designed the mural, selected the colors, and is creating the art work.
Her original paintings have won several awards in shows at the Toledo Artists' Club.

Joe Rudski introduced the board to the membership, as well as Michael Klink, who was a candidate to serve on the board, and the new members present. The members unanimously elected the proposed slate of new board members:

Open painting sessions at the Toledo Artists’ Club

Every Wednesday evening in July and August except July 28.
Thereafter, Thursday evenings starting September 2nd.
A new interesting lighted still life will be set up every week. Seasonal themes might be fun. Artists favoring any style will have subject matter to try. You may also bring your own projects and images of any subject to work on. Everyone Welcome. One Goal is to provide an opportunity for folks who work during the day to be involved at the club and get to know other artists. Share some wine (BYOB) and art conversation. Shelby took over the leadership position at the Terhune Gallery at Owens Community College in September 2020 after working three years at American Frame in Maumee. The Otsego High School graduate earned a bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University in 3D Studies, specializing in sculpture with a minor in art management.
Her recent activities for the club include the direction and management of the renovation/upgrade of the TAC Clubhouse Gallery.
Michael graduated from Bowling Green University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting and drawing. He has been teaching painting and drawing at the Toledo Museum of Art for 11 years. He also teaches art at Northwest State Community College. You can learn more about Michael here.

The Toledo blade announced that the art museum is will open a gallery devoted to exhibits by local artists. The gallery will hang 20 to 30 paintings by an artist for 12 weeks, and the paintings may be for sale. The museum intends to select artists whose work aligns thematically or formally with the ongoing featured exhibition. The gallery will open after the space is renovated. Find more information here.
After a long hiatus because of the pandemic, Elaine is resuming her Saturday class on September 18, 2021. This long-running mixed media class is held 10 to 11 AM, at the Toledo Artists' club, for children ages 6 to 11; cost is $7/class. To register, email Elaine.

Mary Jane Erard invites all current and future students in any of her classes in Northwest Ohio, to show their artwork in a window display at The Shops at Fallen Timbers, Maumee, Ohio,suite 1350, which is the former store called "Learning Express, Toys". This is the same suite where she holds her classes at Fallen Timbers. It's a beautiful space with excellent lighting. Parking is available near by. There is great foot traffic and many people will see the art. The opportunity will be available as long as Fallen Timbers allows.. Larry E. Edinger passed away on June 24, 2021. Larry was the husband of Faye Edinger, long time member of the Toledo Artists' club, and a member of the Board of Trustees.
