Welcome Laura Williams, Gallery and Studio Manager

Laura has joined our staff as Gallery and Studio manager. Let's make her feel at home as she pitches in to move our club forward.
Laura earned a Bachelor's degree with a Major in Art from Lourdes University, Sylvania, Ohio, in 2019, and continued in the Art Department Work Study program until 2023. Her duties included collaborating with professors and students on department needs, preparing flyers and paperwork for upcoming events and volunteer opportunities, helping hang various shows in gallery space, and using digital photography and photo editing techniques.
She has received these awards:
- Best of Show (2021, 2022), Second Place (2022, 2023), Art Supply Depō Award (2022) for Lourdes University Spring Art Show
- Sister Agneta Ganzel Scholarship (Spring 2021)
- Leadership scholarship
- Dean's scholarship
- Hills Scholarship (2023)

Elaine's Little Picasso's Art Camp
July 8-12 9:30-12:30 at the Toledo Artists' Club

Half-day summer camp with Elaine Scarvelis, who has been teaching art to children for many years. Classes are held in the air conditioned studio at the Toledo Artists' club, located in the Toledo Botanical Garden. Contact Elaine for cost.
Paint Harrison the Hawk
July 28, 2023, 3 to 5 pm
Natures Nursery in Waterville Ohio invites artists to come have a close encounter with Harrison. A 20 minute educational program will be followed by time chilling, drawing or photographing Harrison. He is comfortable perching with people around. A $20 donation per artist is requested. Sign up on the nature's nursery web site. Limit 15 people.
Grand Rapids, Ohio Plein Air Event, Saturday, July 8

We look forward to seeing you at the Grand Rapids Plein Air Event. Villagers are eager to watch as artists join together for a day of relaxation and creativity. Please park and register in the parking lot between the Mill House and Snyder’s Pizza at the Welcome Station. Just look for the signs! You may paint where you choose, so let us know your choice when you register. There is no fee.
